Editorial work across culture, research and communication

In a context increasingly shaped by automated writing, editorial work is understood as a conscious practice of language — attentive to nuance, cultural context and the precision of expression. Language is more than communication. It gives structure to ideas, makes complex subjects accessible and shapes texts that are clear, coherent and suited to their context.

At a time when content is increasingly generated automatically, I see editorial work as a process of research, analysis and writing. Beyond linguistic accuracy, it requires an understanding of context, audience and cultural nuance.

Editorial Writing and Publishing

I collaborate with cultural institutions, publishers, museums, organisations and companies on editorial projects, from writing and editing to publication in print and digital formats.

I work on books, newspapers, magazines, exhibition catalogues, essays, academic publications, institutional reports and other editorial formats.

Every text is developed as part of a broader editorial project, with careful attention to structure, language and the relationship between content, audience and medium.

Digital Content

I develop content for websites, newsletters, digital platforms, blogs, apps, software and digital products.

My work includes information architecture, UX writing, technical documentation, release notes and editorial content for digital interfaces.

The aim is to create content that is clear, consistent and adapted to both users and context.

Editing and proofreading

Editorial editing and proofreading for print and digital publications.

This includes structural editing, copy editing, proofreading of page proofs and digital layouts, and final pre-publication review, with particular attention to clarity, consistency and editorial quality.

Translation and language adaptation

I work in five languages: Italian, German, French, English and Spanish.

Translation is not about transferring words but adapting meaning to a different linguistic and cultural context. The aim is to preserve the voice, purpose and function of a text while making it read naturally in the target language.

I translate and localise content for Switzerland's different language regions and create subtitles for audiovisual productions.

Interpreting

Consecutive, simultaneous and liaison interpreting for institutional, cultural and professional settings.

The focus is on facilitating clear communication while preserving accuracy and context.
