Swiss Hypertext is an independent practice for editorial work, translation and multilingual communication, based in Switzerland.
I work with cultural institutions, public organisations, companies and independent initiatives, developing texts, publications and communication projects from the initial idea through to publication.

Language as mediation
No text exists outside its context. It serves a purpose, belongs to a particular setting and speaks to a particular audience. When it moves from one language, medium or cultural context to another, translating the words alone is not always enough to preserve what they mean.
My work therefore begins with an apparently simple question:
what does this text need to do?
Depending on the project, the answer may involve writing, translating, rewriting, researching, conducting an interview, shaping a publication or finding its voice. The point is not simply to say things well, but to understand how meaning can be preserved as form changes.
This is where editorial work, translation and cultural mediation naturally come together.
